Surprise: the magical cylinder Peugeot is checked a new technology, called e-HDi and to reduce consumption and CO2 emissions of diesel engines in the range diesel. a Stop & Start system with alternator reversible second-generation
and a system-booster that allows instant re-ignition engine management system able to recover the electronics of energy during deceleration, a gearbox with ratios optimized. The Citroën C4 Citroën C5 followed by the new cars will be the first group to benefit.
Still on the theme of environmental protection, as well as technology and trans-Hdi Group will launch between 2010 and 2012 also iOn Peugeot and Citroen C-ZERO, 100% electric vehicles, the Peugeot 3008 and Citroën HYbrid4 DS5 HYbrid4, hybrid vehicles diesel.
In 2009, PSA Peugeot Citroen has sold nearly one million cars emitting less than 130 g CO2 per km, of which more than 757,000 emit less than 120g CO2 per km. The Group's objective is to sell one million cars emitting less than 120 grams of CO2 per kilometer by 2012.
