Fiat Bravo Review

If you want a middle-of-the-road, middle-of-the-range hatchback, you buy a Volkswagen Golf, like hundreds of thousands of satisfied customers across Europe. The Italian company positioned the "" as the best-looking car in its class. The Fiat Bravo was available only as a five-door hatchback and came with the choice of petrol or diesel power. A ¬1.4-litre petrol engine, either with or without turbocharged forced induction, provided a choice of 90bhp, 120bhp or 150bhp, while the 1.9-litre diesel produced 120bhp or 150bhp.

The Fiat Bravo interior is one of its best features. Spend about £600 more and a second-hand Dynamic model adds alloy wheels, dual-sided climate control, cruise control and refrigerated storage under the front arm-rest. The Fiat Bravo falls short of being the class leader because of its lacklustre driving characteristics. Reliability and servicing

All Fiat Bravo require servicing once a year or every 18,000 miles, whichever is sooner — for cars registered after 2008 the mileage limit is 21,000 miles. Prices for tyres and brakes are on a par with rivals. A minor service costs £135-£165, a main one £410.
The Fiat Bravo is a car that was developed by Fiat between the years of 1995 to 2001 and this car will be launched in India in 2010. The design of the car was completed on a tight schedule and the company hopes to enjoy continued success with this car as with its other models.

Fiat Bravo Specification
The car is available in 2 engine options and these include 1910 cc, 4-cylinder diesel engine along with 1368cc, 4-cylinder petrol engine. The diesel engine can deliver power of 150 bhp at 4000 rpm along with peak torque of 305 Nm at 2000 rpm. The petrol engine can deliver power of 148 bhp at 5500 rpm.

The length of the car is 4336mm and its width is 1792mm while its height is 1498mm. The suspension system of the car is independent McPherson struts with coil springs. The car has a boot space of 365litres and also comes with 6 manual gears. The kerb weight of the car is 1275 kgs. The car has front disk and rear drum brake system. The fuel tank capacity of the car is 58 litres.

Fiat Bravo Interiors

Nissan Recall

Nissan cars involved in a 2.14 million vehicle recall are spread throughout the US, Japan, Europe and Asia, and include the popular March and Micra models. The Nissan cars are being recalled over an ignition problem that may stall the engine.

Nissan Recall October 2010 Affects 2.14 Million Cars – There has been a lot of recalls happening lately in the automaker industry. After the recent October 2010 recall of Toyota affecting 1.66 million cars due to brake fluid leakage, Nissan was the latest automaker to issue a recall. The Nissan recall affects 2.14 million cars built in Japan, the United States, Canada, Britain, Spain, China and Taiwan between August 2003 and July 2006. The affected models’ list are Nissan March, Cube, Note, and Mycra including other Nissan luxury models such as Tilda sedan, Titan pickup, Infiniti QX56.

New 2011 Toyota Highlander

There are 2WD and 4WD entry level models, plus the flagship 4WD Limited.

The 2011 Toyota Highlander is powered by a 3.5 litre dual VVT-i petrol engine with an electronically controlled automatic transmission. All models offer driver and passenger front, driver’s knee, front side and three-row curtain shield airbags. An Anti-lock System (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist (BA) is standard, as is steering assisted Vehicle Stability Control Plus (VSC ) and Traction Control (TRC).

Inside, the Limited has the added features of dual-zone climate controlled air conditioning, rear climate controlled air conditioning, power front seat adjustment, driver’s seat variable cushion length adjustment, front seat heaters, perforated leather seat trim, four-spoke leather steering wheel with air conditioning controls, leather gearshift lever, stainless steel Highlander scuff plates and a six-disc CD changer.

For 2011, 2011 Toyota Highlander and Highlander Hybrid get updated styling and performance upgrades – plus more competitive pricing. The 2011 Toyota Highlander MSRP starts at $31,500 – its lowest ever and a full $1,750 lower than the base price of the cheapest 2010 models. What's more, the 2011 models come equipped with even more standard features.

Toyota Canada also announced a new value option package for 2011 RAV4. The Touring Extra Value Package includes a power moonroof, unique wheels, an upgraded stereo with steering wheel-mounted audio controls, XM Satellite Radio capability and six-disc CD changer, upgraded cloth seats and more. The first new Lexus to hit Canadian dealerships will be the refreshed 2011 Lexus IS series.

Toyota Highlander utterly dominates its class and sport utility sales have defied market conditions by remaining buoyant - accounting for 20 percent of whole new vehicle market. How many times, Ford, do we have to say it: Diesel, diesel, diesel. Toyota product spokesman Neeraj Lala says there's still a core of customers who, having weighed up running costs and performance differences, still prefer petrol. Amazingly, you need tick the options list to buy what it really needs: Reversing sensors. Out on the road, there's little evidence of big change. Both cars I drove never beat 15L/100km.

Ride quality isn't bad, and the Toyota Australia-tuned suspension provides good control for a car so large, though the electronic driving aids quickly rein in any derring-do, as is the Toyota way.

The Escalade can seat up to eight people and comes in four models: the Escalade, Escalade ESV (an extended wheelbase version), the Escalade EXT (which trades the third row seat and enclosed cargo area for a short truck bed) and the Escalade Hybrid. We review the Escalade EXT and the Escalade Hybrid separately.

The 2010 Cadillac Escalade Hybrid combined luxurious and chic design with a superior 2-Mode power train for significant fuel savings, and early predictions have the 2011 exceeding the high standards its predecessor set.

The head turning vehicle is impeccably appointed, as well as an extremely smooth ride.

2011 Toyota Sequoia reviews

2011 Toyota Sequoia reviews

Manufactured in Indiana and unveiled in 2000, the Toyota Sequoia is a full-sized truck-based SUV. At a slightly larger total size than the Land Cruiser, it is the largest SUV currently sold by Toyota. A definite improvement over previous versions, the Sequoia is worth considering by those in the market for a large, luxury SUV.

The Sequoia is available in three trim levels: the base SR5, the mid-tier Limited, and the full-bore premium Platinum edition. Sequoias are available in either 2WD or 4WD and in the customer’s choice of a 4.6-liter or 5.7-liter V8 motor that Toyota pairs with a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Recent reviews of the newest Sequoia suggest that Toyota has once again delivered a class-leading ride. Reviewers also laud the gear transitions, towing performance, and performance at capacity.

The 2011 Toyota Sequoia comes in either 4-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, depending upon driver preferences.

The larger engine performs slightly worse, offering 13 and 18 for drivers.

The 2011 Toyota Sequoia features all of the swanky things that drivers demand in their luxury SUVs. Toyota bases the Sequoia on the Tundra, and the Tundra has been busy earning a reputation for an underwhelming interior. The Sequoia’s interior is stylish, modern, convenient, and family-friendly. In terms of safety, the Sequoia offers front-seat side and knee airbags, three-row side curtain airbags, anti-lock disc brakes, and stability control. Overall, the 2011 Toyota Sequoia is a lot like last year’s Sequoia.

You should be aware that when reviewing" 2011 Toyota Sequoia" reviews, what is said regarding a vehicle can typically be applied to the entire generation.

Also, when looking at 2011 Toyota Sequoia reviews, you should take them with a grain of salt.

We compile the best quotes so you don’t have to pour through several 2011 Toyota Sequoia model reviews.

Toyota automaker manufacture in Indiana has unveiled new series truck 2011 Toyota Sequoia with sufficient to fully heal, its 2011 Toyota Sequoia. The Toyota Sequoia full-size sport utility vehicle moves into 2011 with minor interior trim changes. Both engines run on recommended regular-grade fuel. The Toyota Sequoia Limited and Platinum grades feature a standard iForce DOHC 5.7-liter V8, also teamed to a six-speed electronically controlled automatic. The 5.7-liter engine produces 381 hp at 5,600 RPM and 401 lb.-ft. of torque at 3,600 RPM, among the highest outputs in this vehicle class. The 5.7-liter V8 enables the Sequoia to tow up to 7,400 lbs. (depending on model grade and equipment). A Tow/Haul mode modifies transmission shift points for optimal performance. The Toyota Sequoia’s towing hitch is integrated into the frame as a single unit.

The 5.7-liter V8 is also equipped with dual independent Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i). An Acoustic Control Induction System (ACIS) switches the intake tract length in two stages, based on engine RPM and throttle angle, to optimize torque across the engine speed range.

2010 Nissan Altima Reviews

The 2010 Nissan Altima ranks 11 out of 21 Affordable Midsize Cars. This ranking is based on our analysis of 81 published reviews and test drives of the Nissan Altima, and our analysis of reliability and safety data.

The 2010 Nissan Altima is one of just a handful of family sedans that reviewers consistently call fun-to-drive. "Nissan estimates that 65 percent of Altima buyers are male (as opposed to roughly the same proportion of female buyers for the Toyota Camry), and its bolder styling and more subdued interior reflects an adherence to its somewhat masculine personality." Reviewers love the 2010 Nissan Altima's crisp handling.

Sedan buyers should note that the four-door Altima is no longer offered with a manual transmission. The Altima is also available as a sporty-looking coupe. In the affordable midsize car class, only the Honda Accord and the Altima offer two-door options.
The 2010 Nissan Altima sedan is available as a stripped-down base 2.5 model, a well-equipped 2.5S, or a V6-powered 3.5SR. That price could send some buyers into the upscale midsize car class instead.

Middle America has recognized and rewarded Nissan’s Altima for its conservative, yet nice looking design, excellent engineering, good engine, quality manufacturing and fair value pricing – how many not so good but expensive wines have you tasted? Nissan has refreshed the Altima where it needed fixing and improved qualities and characteristics that needed improving including new exterior styling, nicer interiors, better infotainment system options and new technological innovations.

I like the change Nissan made in the Altima’s styling. The smooth Xtonic CVT transmission in this vehicle is innovative technology that seamlessly controls the vehicle's gearing resulting in smooth, consistent acceleration at any speed.

The Altima also comes with all the safety features you have come to expect including AABS, side curtain supplemental air bags, ABS, traction control and vehicle dynamic control.

Despite all its features and the impressive engine, Nissan did not forget the fuel economy and the Altima is NITSA rated 20 MPG city and 27 MPG highway.

The 2010 Nissan Altima continues the tradition, offering great value for your money. The 2010 Altima is offered in sedan, coupe, and hybrid models, and should be offered for sale to the general public this fall. The 2010 Nissan Altima gas-powered vehicles are available in 4-cylinder and 6-cylinder models. Both cars come with a traction control system, four-wheel antilock brakes, and high performance suspension. The suspension on the 3.5 SE sedans and coupes performs a little stiffly when driving on rough surfaces, although the 2.5 model rides well. With today’s gas prices, gas mileage can make or break a decision to buy the car. The manual transmission 3.5 SE achieved between 23 and 25 mpg. The high mpg Altima is a hybrid model that achieves 29 miles per gallon in primarily city conditions. The "2010 Nissan Altima" is packed with more than 50 safety features, all coming standard. The Altima comes with dual stage supplemental air bags in the front. Inside the 2010 Nissan Altima, sedans keep the road noise to a controlled level, while the coupes are a little louder. The controls to the stereo and climate system are easy to use on models that don’t contain the navigation system. The 2010 Nissan Altima offers a lot of features, including a Bose audio system and steering wheel-mounted controls.

Honda Ridgeline reviews

Honda rehabilitated the Honda Ridgeline with a host of slight improvements that affected its styling and driving demeanor, yielding a somewhat improved truck overall. The "2010 Honda Ridgeline" has a single powertrain combination, which is unusual in the pickup market.

For those consumers who desire a friendlier pickup that can still handle those occasional jobs, there's the Honda Ridgeline. The "Honda Ridgeline" pickup is available in just one four-door body style. Rather than having a separate cab and bed, the Ridgeline's body unites the two. Although it shares some of its running gear with the Honda Pilot, fully 90 percent of the Honda Ridgeline is unique and should not just be considered the pickup version of Honda's SUV.

Comfortable seats, plenty of storage cubbies, sound ergonomics, smooth, quiet performance and a relatively manageable size make the Honda Ridgeline a viable option as the sole family vehicle. If you need the passenger space of an SUV and the utility of a pickup truck, but want nimble carlike handling, the Ridgeline is an excellent choice.

The Honda Ridgeline was introduced for the 2006 model year, available in RTS, RTX, RTS and RTL trim levels.

The 2010 Honda Ridgeline ranks 2 out of 4 Sport Utility Trucks. This ranking is based on our analysis of 61 published reviews and test drives of the Honda Ridgeline, and our analysis of reliability and safety data.

The Honda Ridgeline delivers plenty of truck for most people. Though it isn't as rugged as some competitors, the Honda Ridgeline offers just enough capability for weekend warriors headed to Home Depot. Price is where the Ridgeline takes on many SUTs. Base truck models can undercut the Honda Ridgeline price by several thousand dollars.

If you need more truck in your SUT, check out the Chevy Avalanche. If you're serious about capability and saving money, check out our compact and full-size truck rankings. Honda Ridgeline is unchanged for 2010. If you're interested in the Honda Ridgeline, check out our Honda Deals page, where we've done the research to find you the best price on a new Honda.

Volkswagen Passat Europe First Drive Reviews

The Volkswagen Passat is not a glamorous car. A business commuter. A family workhorse. Volkswagen, the undisputed master of middle-class market domination, has shifted 15 million Passats on the basis of this sturdy reputation since the car was launched in 1973

Fortunately the seventh generation of the "Volkswagen Passat" pulls no punches. The freshening up continues inside though, where the car gets a revised dashboard, new trim finishes and a gently updated centre console. To say the Volkswagen Passat wafts is an overstatement, but the car does exhibit a whisper quiet sense of transit. With fleet sales likely to dominate the Passat's end-of-year figures expect the SE version to be the volume seller. The standard spec list adds iPod connectivity, a DAB radio, Bluetooth connectivity and even a fatigue detection system.

The mainstream opposition from Ford and Vauxhall is certainly to be respected, but VW will be counting on the Volkswagen Passat superior interior quality and better refinement to snare the punters. That and the sterling reputation the model has for reliable, unflustered and inconspicuous service.

Beneath the new tinsel, the seventh-generation car remains a worthy testament to that mentality.
Visual ties between everyone else’s new Passat and the previous car are obvious. The daylight opening, with its BMW-like kink, carries over, and the wheelbase remains virtually identical. The new Passat's somewhat bulky front grille and lighting units evoke the Phaeton, as do the taillights. In Europe, the new car also is available as a station wagon called the Volkswagen Passat Variant.

Perhaps the most surprising is the extremely efficient BlueMotion, powered by a 103-hp, 1.6-liter turbo-diesel. Top speed is 139 mph, and the engine rips the car forward in any gear.
We also drove the 1.8-liter TSI, with a 158-hp gasoline engine coupled to a seven-speed dry dual-clutch gearbox, and it excelled, too. While it doesn't pull as strongly as the 2.0-liter diesel, we have no reason to doubt VW's modest claim of a 0-to-62-mph sprint in 8.5 seconds and its 137-mph top speed. Fuel economy is 33.6 mpg in the European cycle.

Unfortunately, we didn’t have a chance to drive the uplevel gasoline engines. VW offers the 2.0 TSI, with the 208-hp EA888 engine that's also used in the European GTI. The top-of-the-line model is the V-6 4Motion, with a 300-hp, 3.6-liter VR6, which transmits its power to all four wheels through the six-speed DQ250 wet dual-clutch transmission. This engine was heretofore confined to the Passat R36, a sporty derivative, which is now being killed off. "An R model has no priority" now, says VW engineering chief Dr. Ulrich Hackenberg.

Although the Passat’s PQ46 platform is essentially a variation of the Golf underpinnings, it doesn’t drive that small, instead feeling every bit the bigger car. The power steering is light but nicely weighted, there’s lots of grip, and the stability-control system executes its corrections so quickly that it usually preserves corner-exit speeds.

2011 Audi A7 Sportback Review

2011 Audi A7 Sportback; 3.0-litre, V6, supercharged, seven-speed dual clutch.

Purporting to be a sporting, four-door coupe with a hatchback rear, it certainly makes a strong visual statement. It’s a big, bold car that cannot fail to grab your attention. Audi is at pains to point out the ‘passion’ in the A7’s design and proudly states that its huge radiator grille is unique to the model.

Ignore the marketing waffle – for ‘Sportback’ read ‘Hatchback’. Obviously trying to distance the A7 from its more normal brethren in name, what this car offers is a remarkably practical, electrically operated rear tailgate. Behind it is an impressive load space of 535-litre load space that more than doubles to 1390 with the rear seats folded down.

Aesthetic and athletic, emotion-packed design, sporty character and innovative technology: Audi is entering a new market segment with the Audi A7 Sportback

The "Audi A7 Sportback features" the entire, wide-ranging technological expertise of the Audi brand. Its body is very lightweight thanks to numerous aluminum components.

In early 2009, Audi gave a preview of the “Audi A7 Sportback” at the North American International Automobile Show in Detroit with the Audi Sportback concept show car. Audi frequently has show cars go into production nearly unchanged. The Audi A7 Sportback is a moving sculpture - a large, five-door coupe with a sporty body and harmonious proportions, a long engine hood, a long wheelbase and short overhangs. The latest large Audi model is 4.97 meters (16.31 ft) long and has a wheelbase of 2.91 meters (9.55 ft). The rear doors are subtly integrated into the silhouette. The athletic play of the surfaces and lines characterizes the side view of the "Audi A7 Sportback". The tornado line starts at the headlights and extends along the fenders, the doors and the rear side walls as it gently slopes toward the tail lights. The elegant line ends in a sharply dropping rear end that forms a distinctive spoiler lip - another sports car feature.

This solution also underscores the width of the Audi A7 Sportback.

Audi offers a choice of eleven paint finishes for the A7 Sportback.
According to Stefan Sielaff, Head of Design at AUDI AG: "Audi design is the harmony of form and function. The headlights of the Audi A7 Sportback are small, technical works of art presenting the lead that the brand enjoys in lighting technology on a brightly lit stage. The Audi A7 Sportback comes standard with Audi's xenon plus technology with the new all-weather light. Available as an option is the adaptive light system, which always provides the appropriate lighting, whether driving in the city, when turning, on inter-urban roads or on the highway.

The system adapts the vehicle's own lights by swiveling the modules with soft transitions.

The Audi A7 Sportback is also available with optional LED headlights - another groundbreaking innovation from Audi.
The turning light, the all-weather light and the highway light round out the system.

The integrated high-beam assistant switches between the low and high beams.

The five-door coupe from Audi combines supreme, long-distance comfort with a sporty character. The body of the Audi A7 Sportback is light, safe and strong thanks to the intelligent lightweight construction technology from Audi, which combines various materials.

The large rear hatch is lined with high-quality carpeting, is easy to load and offers excellent functionality.

The arc extends from the driver's side across the instrument panel to the passenger's door. Audi offers a wide range of upholsteries, including a leather package, to upgrade the entire interior. The front seats of the Audi A7 Sportback are mounted sportily low.

The driver information system, located on the display between the large dial instruments, is controlled via the multifunction steering wheel. Audi will initially offer the A7 Sportback with a choice of four powerful and cultivated V6 engines: two gasoline and two TDI units. All engines use Audi's innovative thermal management system, a recuperation system and a start-stop system.

2.8 FSI quattro with 150 kW (280 hp)
3.0 TFSI quattro with 220 kW (290 hp)
3.0 TDI quattro with 180 kW (240 hp)
3.0 TDI with 150 kW (170 hp)

The standard automatic transmissions also play a large role in the high efficiency of the Audi A7 Sportback. Audi offers two different types depending on the engines: the comfortable, continuously variable multitronic delivers the engine's power to the front wheels. The transmissions are integrated into the engine's thermal management system and can access the predictive route data from the navigation system. Audi offers the sport differential, which actively distributes the power between the rear wheels, as the perfect complement to quattro drive.

The Audi A7 Sportback rolls on large wheels measuring from 18 to 20 inches in diameter shod with tires that have been optimized for low rolling resistance. Powerful brakes sit behind the wheels.
The steering works closely together with the optional Audi active lane assist system.

The Audi A7 Sportback comes standard with a comfortable steel-spring suspension, with two sport suspensions available as options. Audi also offers an optional air suspension with four electronically controlled shock absorbers. The standard version incorporates the automatic transmission, the electromechanical power steering and the engine control unit. Additional modules can also be integrated, including the adaptive air suspension, quattro with sport differential and adaptive light. The Audi A7 Sportback offers a wide range of innovative assistance, safety and infotainment systems. Audi has partnered with the online services provider Google. In addition to the standard MMI radio, Audi offers three optional systems: MMI radio plus, MMI navigation and MMI navigation plus. MMI navigation plus works closely together with the optional driver assistance and safety systems in the A7 Sportback. The driver assistance systems in the "Audi A7 Sportback" are tightly networked via an advanced and fast data bus system. The new Audi active lane assist helps the driver to keep the Audi A7 Sportback firmly on course. The system uses a camera that detects the lines on the road. The adaptive cruise control with stop & go function (ACC) is the latest embodiment of a radar-based distance control system that accelerates and slows the Audi A7 Sportback automatically within certain limits. Audi is launching the Audi A7 Sportback with an opulent array of standard features. A selection includes the highly efficient deluxe air conditioning system, the engine start-stop button, the xenon plus headlights, the LED tail lights, the MMI radio with the 6.5-inch monitor, the electromechanical parking brake, the power rear hatch, the 18-inch alloy wheels and an acoustic windshield.

The safety package leaves nothing to be desired, with two front, side and head airbags, four belt tensioners and the integral Audi head restraint system.

In addition to the features and systems mentioned above, there is also a four-zone automatic air conditioning system, an auxiliary heating system, insulating/acoustic glazing, a heated steering wheel rim, a power-adjustable steering column, sunblinds for the rear window, two ambient lighting packages, power-assisted closing for the doors and the convenience key for keyless vehicle access.

It is combined with a taut sport suspension, 19-inch wheels, sport seats and a special leather steering wheel. A complementary S line exterior package is available as an option.
Also available is the MMI (Multimedia Interface) entertainment and navigation system that features a high-res pop-up 6.5-inch screen. At launch in Europe two petrol engines will be offered, a 150kW/280Nm 2.8-litre V6 and a 220kW/440Nm 3-litre supercharged V6, with fuel economy rated at 8 and 8.2L/100km respectively. Power is delivered to either the front wheels via a continuously variable transmission, or all four wheels via seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Porsche Cayenne Rack Up Awards‎

The Porsche Cayenne and Panamera series made by Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, are going down very well with Porsche customers worldwide.

The design language, created by Porsche Chief Designer Michael Mauer, is purposefully oriented on the design DNA taken from the company's sports cars, and most especially on the classic Porsche 911. No matter which angle you observe the Cayenne and Panamera from, the Porsche brand recognition is always there," Porsche informed.

This title is awarded to vehicles with the biggest potential for becoming classic cars. With sales of 29,855 vehicles, the Porsche Cayenne was the bestselling Porsche model in the 2009/10 business year, and a healthy 11,618 of these customers bought the new "Porsche Cayenne". The most sought-after Porsche Cayenne engine in Europe is the diesel, which was widely accepted on the market, whereas outside Europe the models powered by the V8 engine top their respective market segments.

Again, the "auto motor und sport“ readers voted it into first place in the luxury class in the "Die besten Autos” (best cars) vote. It was also awarded the coveted "Auto Trophy“ by the German "Auto Zeitung“ specialist magazine in addition to "Das Goldene Lenkrad“ (golden steering wheel) from "Bild am Sonntag“ and "Auto Bild“. Moreover, the luxurious Gran Turismo won a whole series of international prizes.

Judges and readers from the world’s top motoring magazines have put their opinions down on par during extensive surveys discussing the best cars for 2010 – in a plethora of categories. Both the Panamera and Porsche Cayenne have enjoyed the favor of knowledgeable journalists and the public alike, which goes to show just how popular they are.

In the case of the "Das Goldene Klassik-Lenkrad“ (the golden classic steering wheel) prize, issued this year for the first time by the Auto Bild Klassik magazine, the Porsche Cayenne won the title of "Klassiker der Zukunft” (classic car of the future) for the first time in the off-road-vehicle class, netting an astonishing 25% of the votes. On top of this, the Cayenne Diesel won the title of "Firmenauto des Jahres” (company car of the year) which was awarded jointly by the Firmenauto magazine and the Dekra independent inspection organization after extensive testing and comparison runs. Since then the car has enjoyed a 13% market share in the upper and luxury segment, currently dominated by the likes of Mercedes, BMW, and Audi. The Panamera has also decorated itself with several public and guild awards. Again, the Auto Motor und Sport readers voted it number one in the "Die besten Autos” (best luxury cars) class. It was also awarded the coveted Auto Trophy by the German Auto Zeitung specialist magazine in addition to "Das Goldene Lenkrad“ (golden steering wheel) from the Bild am Sonntag and Auto Bild publications. In addition, the luxurious Gran Turismo won a whole series of international prizes. The British Vehicle Dynamics specialist magazine gave it the Car of the Year and Dynamic car of the Year awards. In the USA, the editors of the Inside Line online magazine also awarded the Most Desirable Car award to the Panamera.

2011 Ford F-150 Review

The 2011 Ford F-150 is the best pickup for you if you want to pioneer a new breed of truck engine.

The 2011 Ford F-150 is almost certain to feature two – maybe three -- new engines. Styling: Any 2011 Ford F-150 styling alterations would take a backseat to big changes under the hood. It debuted for model-year 2010 in several Ford/Lincoln products, notably the 2010 Ford Taurus SHO and 2010 Lincoln MKS sedans and 2010 Ford Flex crossover SUV. Ford maintains the EcoBoost V-6 is suitable for moderately heavy towing duty, too. The base choice would be Ford’s new dual-overhead-cam 5.0-liter V-8. Dubbed “Coyote,” this naturally aspirated engine is also slated for duty in the Ford Mustang. Some reports suggest the 2011 F-150 may also become available with Ford’s new 6.2-liter V-8. The available voice-activated navigation system can display real-time weather maps and localized fuel prices.

Expect 2011 F-150 pricing to begin around $22,000 for the entry-level LX regular-cab model. For example, Ford imbued every 2010 F-150 with mileage-enhancing tweaks previously reserved for a special SFE (Super Fuel Economy) model. EPA fuel-economy estimates for 2011 models had not been released in time for this review, but expect 2011 Ford F-150 fuel economy to equal and in some cases beat the 2010 F-150 numbers.

No word on whether Ford would recommend or require 2011 F-150 EcoBoost owners to use higher-priced premium-grade gas. The focus of fuel economy doesn’t mean ignoring high performance. Dodge Ram 1500: Like the F-150, Dodge’s half-ton Ram was all-new for model-year 2009. No major changes are expected until after model-year 2013.

A model-year 2010 freshening included introduction of a fine new 310-horsepwer V-8 to compliment the top-line 381-horsepower engine, but don’t look for major changes before model-year 2014 or so.

Every model comes with the AdvanceTrac Electronic Stability Control as well as side curtain airbags in the front, rear row, front row, and torso sides of the truck. Detailed crash tests results include five stars for frontal driver; five stars for frontal passenger; five stars for side driver; five stars for side rear passenger; four stars for a two wheel drive rollover; and three stars for a four wheel drive rollover.

In 2009 it took home Motor Trend Truck of the Year; Best Redesigned Vehicle; Truck of Texas; Best Luxury Pickup; Best Overall Half ton Pickup; Automotive Excellence; the Residual Value Award from the Automotive Leasing Guide; Motor Trend’s Truck Trend Top Five Trucks; and the Accessory Friendly Truck Design Award.

2010 Audi RS5 Reviews

After what seems like an eternity, the launch of the 2010 Audi RS5 is almost upon us. A nearly-finished coupe version of the hot Audi was recently spotted testing its stopping power in the Alps ahead of a possible Frankfurt Motor Show debut.

Also differentiating the Audi RS5 from the S5 is its honeycomb grille and single-outlet dual exhaust.

(For comparison, the S5’s engine is rated at 350 hp @ 7000 rpm and 325 lb.-ft. of torque at 3500 rpm).

Externally, the Audi RS5 differs little from its already attractive S5 sibling, but the cosmetic tweaks help the car look slightly more aggressive. A one-piece front grille and large lower air intakes are similar to those applied to the TT RS, while the rear valiance sports a larger diffuser and twin oval exhaust tips. 19-inch aluminum wheels are standard, but performance junkies may want to opt for the 20-inch rolling stock, as well as the available torque-vectoring rear differential and carbon ceramic brake rotors.

These changes reportedly help the Audi RS5 rocket from 0-62 mph in a scant 4.6 seconds.

Rarely does a camouflaged prototype look so good, although in the case of this latest encounter with the upcoming performance flagship Audi RS5 its combination black matte and blue hue looks simply brilliant.

In seemingly near-production guise, signature elements of Audi’s RS stable can be seen such as the twin oval exhaust pipes, enormous brake package and aggressive front end treatment.

lexus recall-toyota recall list

The maker has found that its IS, GS and RX models have been affected by brake master cylinder and fuel pump problems.
Fuel pump problems on the upmarket GS 300 models built between September 2004 and February 2006 have caused the second recall. Belinda Poole Lexus director, said: ‘We apologise for any inconvenience or concern these recalls may cause our customers.

Lexus is working with VOSA to contact owners by letter to advise them to take their vehicle to a Lexus Centre or an Official Lexus Service Outlet for the necessary repair work to be done.

According to Toyota, there maybe a problem with the brake master cylinder cup in nearly 1.5 million of its vehicles around the world. Without getting too technical, if you have the problem, you'll notice your brakes feel a bit "spongy." Here are pictures of the vehicles affected by this recall.

Braking power can slowly decline as fluid leaks from the master brake cylinder. Toyota vehicles outside North America have defective fuel pumps that could cause engine stalls.

2011 Lexus LFA Review

Lexus builds its first-ever supercar with the 2011 Lexus LFA. Known primarily for its highly refined luxury cars, Lexus isn't a car company one would mention in the same breath as Ferrari or Lamborghini. Developed at the famed Nürburgring racetrack in Germany and priced at over 300 large (the latest estimate is $350,000), the Lexus LFA will be constructed chiefly of carbon fiber and weigh a relatively svelte 3,263 pounds.
Equipped with a six-speed single-clutch automated manual transmission, the 2011 Lexus LFA can leap to 60 mph in a claimed 3.7 seconds and hit a top speed of 202 mph.
Only 500 Lexus LFAs will be produced for worldwide sale, and Lexus will actually lease the cars (with an option to buy) to discourage speculators.
The impossibly anal approach Toyota took when building the Lexus LFA.

First, the engine is located way back in the engine bay and mounts to a 6-speed rear-mounted transaxle through a carbon torque tube. That accounts for the CoG's position front-to-rear, but not vertically. That was achieved by using a world's first counter gear to raise the relative height of the torque tube, allowing the engine to be mounted incredibly low in the car, accounting for the CoG's height.

As a statement of technological ability and performance intent, the "Lexus LFA" firmly establishes Toyota firmly within the upper echelons of sports car manufacturers.

This dramatically different Japanese sports car combines high technology with maximum user-friendliness. The carbon-fiber center tub did save 220 pounds and is four times as rigid as the previous spaceframe design, and it also taught Lexus some valuable lessons with regard to future higher-volume production concepts. To achieve the desired 48/52 percent front/rear weight distribution, the engineers opted for rear-mounted radiators and a transaxle, and they set the front-mounted engine back in the chassis. In the front, the Lexus LFA relies on an aluminum-intensive control-arm suspension and compact springs; low-friction dampers with remote fluid reservoirs; and a tubular antiroll bar. Unlike the race car that we previously sampled [October 2009], the production LFA's cabin is as lavishly equipped and as beautifully executed as any other Lexus. There are only two areas - engine characteristics as well as clutch and gearbox action - where the ultimate Japanese sports car fell somewhat short of our expectations.

2010 Mazda CX-9 review

The 2010 Mazda CX-9 is a large seven-passenger crossover SUV that's available in three trim levels: Sport, Touring and Grand Touring. Stepping up to the Touring version adds heated mirrors, leather upholstery (for front- and second-row seats) and heated power front seats. Fuel economy is slightly below average, though, at an EPA-estimated 16 mpg city/22 mpg highway and 18 mpg in combined driving for front-wheel-drive models.

All-wheel-drive CX-9s drop by 1 mpg across the board
Standard safety equipment for all 2010 Mazda CX-9s includes antilock disc brakes with brake assist, stability control with a rollover sensor, front-seat side airbags, full-length side curtain airbags and active head restraints. An optional rearview camera is available on Touring and Grand Touring models, while a blind-spot warning system is standard on the Grand Touring.

A reworked split-lid center console bin improves access, and a redesigned steering wheel facilitates easier Bluetooth, audio and cruise control operation. The CX-9's second- and third-row seats can easily accommodate normal-size adults.

Like many large crossovers, the 2010 Mazda CX-9 provides a comfortable ride for long road trips. Surprisingly, the CX-9 also performs admirably on curvy roads.

The 2010 Mazda CX-9 ranks 5 out of 10 Affordable Large SUVs. For an SUV with plenty of room and a little zoom, check out the Mazda CX-9.

The 2010 Mazda CX-9 is an anomaly in the large SUV class, thanks to its curvy design and performance that comes with a touch of zoom-zoom. Reviewers love its attractive exterior, nimble performance and safety features. If you like the CX-9, compare it to other large crossovers like the GMC Acadia and Ford Flex. For 2010, the CX-9 gets a slight refresh. Mechanically, the CX-9 is pretty much unchanged.

2010 volvo c30 review

The 2010 Volvo C30 is compelling evidence that Ford's stewardship of Volvo has been beneficial to the small Swedish automaker. Ford wisely left the styling to Volvo, yielding a unique-looking two-door hatch that's half S40 sedan, half classic Volvo hatchback and all Swedish chic on the inside.

The 2010 Volvo C30 is a four-seat, two-door hatchback offered in two trim levels. The base T5 includes 17-inch alloy wheels, height-adjustable seats, a trip computer, cruise control, a 50/50-split-folding rear seat, full power accessories, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel with audio controls, Bluetooth and an eight-speaker CD audio system with an auxiliary audio jack. The T5 R-Design trim level adds 18-inch wheels, foglights, a sport-tuned suspension, sporty exterior trim, partial leather upholstery, blue-face gauges and metallic interior trim.

The Climate package includes heated front seats, headlamp washers, automatic climate control and rain-sensing wipers. The front-wheel-drive 2010 Volvo C30 is powered by a turbocharged 2.5-liter inline-5 that produces 227 hp and 236 pound-feet of torque. EPA fuel economy estimates stand at 19 mpg city/28 mpg highway and 23 mpg combined.

The 2010 Volvo C30 comes standard with antilock disc brakes (with brake assist), stability control, front-seat side airbags, full-length side curtain airbags and front seats with whiplash protection. Volvo's Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) is optional.

The 2010 Volvo C30 possesses plenty of grip and accurate steering. The turbocharged five-cylinder matches up well to either the six-speed manual transmission or the five-speed auto
There, in a nutshell, lies the kernel of truth behind Volvo’s C30 R-Design.

To be a player, Volvo needed something a little different and, viewed from the rear, the C30 certainly nails that design parameter. And while the base model might look somewhat strange, the R-Design model, with its fully-painted body kit and rear wing is surprisingly appealing. Our test model was nicely outfitted with both the $900 Climate Package that includes things like heated seats and electronic climate control, as well as the $1,950 Preferred Package with power front seats, keyless drive, dual xenon headlights, aluminum trim and fog lights.

Definitely try the rear seats before buying one. It comes with the elimination of body length so we’re not faulting Volvo.
The blue-face R-Design gauges are a sporty touch.
Volvo rates the C30 at 6.5 seconds to 60 mph.
Volvo rates the car at an official 19/28 mpg.

toyota corolla 2010 Recall?

Toyota Motor Company has issued a recall on select 2010 Corolla and Matrix models but rather than using the dirty “R word”, Toyota is calling this program a Limited Service Campaign. This Limited Service Campaign affects around 9,400 Corolla models and 1,350 Matrix models, with all of them being powered by Toyota’s 2ZR-FE 1.8L 4-cylinder engine. Doesn’t that sound like a recall?
Not a recall by name, but this 2010 Toyota Corolla and Matrix issue could cause owners major problems
According to Reuters, the 10,750 affected 2010 Corolla and Matrix models may have an issue with the early deterioration and disintegration of the serpentine belt that drives the alternator, air condition compressor and most importantly, the water pump. It is not unusual for serpentine belts to break when left unchecked, as the rubber belts are constantly exposed to extreme temperatures which help to increase the wear and tear on the belt.
Toyota has arranged for a “Limited Service Campaign”, which seems more like a polite word for the ominous “Recall” tag, on select 2010 Corolla and Matrix models to fix an accessory belt issue.
The problem originates in the engine accessory belt which is used to transfer force from the engine to the air conditioner.
There are about 9,400 Corollas that could have the accessory belt issue, and 1,350 Matrix vehicles

At the same time, the Aston Martin Cygnet Concept retains the intensely emotional and personal qualities that arise from the Aston Martin customer's close relationship with the specification and manufacture of their product. The Aston Martin Cygnet Concept presents a high degree of feasibility, representing how a series production Aston Martin Cygnet could appear.

The Aston Martin Cygnet Concept is small. The Aston Martin Cygnet Concept has a six-speed manual gearbox, with the MultidriveTM CVT system available as an option.

Personalisation

The Aston Martin Cygnet Concept is a demonstration of Aston Martin's unrivalled skill at creating hand-crafted interiors. The rich mix of hand-stitched leather, Alcantara and aluminium is shared with Aston Martin's sports cars.

Like all other Aston Martin cars, the Aston Martin Cygnet Concept is not hand-finished out of deference to tradition, but because skilled craftsmanship can achieve a far higher quality of finish than machine production.

The Future

Aston Martin believes that a market for between 2,000 and 4,000 Aston Martin Cygnets exists in Europe alone, with each car forming a natural extension of existing Aston Martin ownership, a supplementary product that exists in tandem with the company's range of luxury sports cars. A substantial proportion of Aston Martin owners have several cars in their fleet; almost a quarter own a small car. The Aston Martin Cygnet Concept represents the natural choice for those looking for a premium commuter car and initial supply will be prioritised to existing Aston Martin customers.

As part of the brand's commitment to its future security and stability, Aston Martin Cygnet production will be established at Aston Martin's global headquarters in Gaydon, Warwickshire.

As a luxury commuter car that can slip easily and unobtrusively into the city, the Aston Martin Cygnet Concept is a highly intelligent solution to urban mobility. Using tried and tested technology, together with Aston Martin's acclaimed levels of personalisation and customisation, material quality, craft skill and tactile delight, the Aston Martin Cygnet Concept is innovative and forward-thinking, a genuine solution for future mobility and a natural partner for Aston Martin's line-up of acclaimed luxury sports cars.

To much rejoicing, Aston Martin has confirmed that the Toyota IQ-based Cygnet concept minicar will enter production. Along with the announcement, Aston Martin also provided the car's specs. There are three configurations to the Cygnet: a 2 2 seating one, a 2 1 seating one that increase the luggage space and a 2 seating one that offers generous luggage area. Aston Martin included this car in its personalization program, offering unlimited options for the exterior and interior trim, color and finish.

Mitsubishi ASX review

The Mitsubishi ASX is the new crossover from Mitsubishi and as well as sitting alongside the Mitsubishi Outlander, it is also built on the same platform.

It sounds like a fair deal, so the Mitsubishi ASX is offered with the choice of a 4WD transmission or as a 2WD version, where only the front wheels are driven. In comparison with its stablemate, the 2WD Mitsubishi ASX is slightly shorter than the Mitsubishi Outlander and weighs some 300kg less, and is a good start in reducing fuel consumption.

Mitsubishi has used Electric Power Steering in the ASX as it reduces engine loads and represents a further aid to fuel economy, when compared to hydraulic systems.
Mitsubishi Motors and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries have developed this all-new engine and claim that it is the first diesel engine to have variable valve timing, more usually associated with petrol units.

In comparison with the 2.0DiD engine used in the Mitsubishi Lancer and with the same 6-speed, manual gearbox, the smaller unit produces 150PS at 4,000rpm, which is 10PS more than the 2.0-litre unit. The 1.8 is the only engine offered with the 4WD system, which incidentally, adds around 2mpg to the relative fuel consumption figures of the 2WD version. In 2WD format the Diesel Mitsubishi ASX has a 0-62mph time of 9.7 seconds and can then go on to a top speed of 124mph, where legal, making it the quickest off the mark and with the highest top speed of the range. The alternative is a 1.6 petrol engine, mated to a 5-speed manual 'box. It also offers 116PS at 6,000rpm and 154Nm at 4,000rpm.
All of which have helped the Mitsubishi ASX to a 5-star rating from the EuroNCAP safety tests.
The Mitsubishi ASX 3 adds fully automatic air-conditioning, a keyless start button, cruise control, heated front seats, privacy glass, secondary audio controls on the steering wheel, automatic lights and wipers and Bluetooth plus some cosmetic touches in the form of a leather-clad steering wheel and gear knob and exterior chrome trims. The top-of-the-range Mitsubishi ASX 4 comes with leather upholstery and a Kenwood entertainment system with iPod control, satellite navigation and a reversing camera.

The Mitsubishi ASX (Active Smart Crossover) is aimed at buyers looking for something between a Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback and an Outlander. Initially it’s rather hard to tell the ASX apart from an Outlander. Based on the same platform as the Lancer & Outlander, the ASX is essentially just a smaller Outlander. It’s available with either a 1.8-litre turbo diesel engine which manages 110kW (@ 4000 rpm) 300Nm of torque (@ 2000rpm) or a 2.0-litre petrol engine (same as the one currently found in the Lancer) which generates 110 kW (@ 6000 rpm) and 197 Nm of torque (@ 4200 rpm).

Lack of automatic transmission will do doubt limit sales of ASX diesels with Mitsubishi predicting 90 percent of buyers will go for a petrol variant.

ASX is expected to potentially cannibalize only a small percentage of Outlander sales but have a reasonable affect on Lancer Sportback. Fuel economy ranges from 7.7L/100km (combined city/highway cycle ADR 81/01) for the five-speed manual 2WD 2.0-litre petrol (7.9 for CVT) to 8.1L/100km for the 4WD CVT petrol and a remarkably good 5.8L/100km for the diesel 4WD six-speed manual. If you can drive a manual, ASX diesel makes perfect sense.

Safety is paramount as expected from Mitsubishi. How does Active Stability Control, Active Traction Control, Hill Start Assist system, ABS, Electronic Brake Distribution, Brake Assist, Emergency Stop signal System, and seven airbags (dual front, front side, side curtain and driver kneebag) sound?
Overall the Mitsubishi ASX is a surprisingly good package.
