2011 Mitsubishi Eclipse
2011 Mitsubishi Eclipse .This ranking is based on our analysis of 60 published reviews and test drives of the Mitsubishi Eclipse, and our analysis of reliability and safety data.
If you're in the market for a four-passenger affordable sports car that packs a meaner punch, check out the Hyundai Genesis Coupe. Shoppers not intent on driving fast should pit the Mitsubishi Eclipse against the Scion tC and Honda Civic SI.
The "Mitsubishi Eclips"e carries over into the 2011 model year mostly unchanged. The Eclipse is offered in two body styles, Coupe and Spyder (convertible); and three trims, GS, GS Sport and GT--The GS Sport trim, now has a power driver and heated leather front seats, as its standard equipments.
The standard equipments for the GS trim includes 18-inch alloy wheels, keyless entry, air-conditioning, full power accessories, cruise control, a 50/50-split rear seatback, a six-speaker sound system along with CD player and a tilt-only steering wheel.
And the GT gets standard V6 engine, a better rear stabilizer bar, larger rear brakes, automatic climate control and huge rear spoiler ( for coupe only). The estimated fuel economy for Eclipse is 23 mpg average for highway and city.
Powering the Eclipse GT is a 3.6 liter V6 engine, which is capable of churning maximum power of 265 hp and maximum torque of 262 lb-ft. the standard transmission of this trim level is a five-speed automatic. Ensuring passengers safety in "2011 Mitsubishi Eclipse" is the four-wheel antilock brakes, front seat side airbags and stability control. The car doesn’t have rear head restraints. The lack of similarly priced convertibles in the modern auto market earns a look for 2011 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder. Though, the same is not the case with the 2011 Mitsubishi Eclipse coupe, which fails to keep up the pace with the modern hot hatches and sport coupes.
A 265-hp 3.8-liter V6 engine powers the GT and comes with a five-speed automatic featuring Sportronic shift control. The GS-Sport now receives leather seating surfaces, heated front seats and side mirrors, clear lip spoiler, power driver seat, aluminum pedals, and strut tower bar.
